Organic Coconut Oil is nature’s greatest source of medium chain fatty acids (MCFAs). MCFAs,
unlike other oils, are easily digested and completely broken down to individual fatty acids
which don’t circulate the bloodstream to the degree that other fats do, but are used in the
liver as a source of fuel to produce energy. Also, because they are so easily digested, they
contribute to the absorption of other nutrients such as fat soluble vitamins (e.g. vitamin
A,D,E,K, and beta carotene)

The fatty acid content of coconut oil is: Caprylic (C8:0) 7.8 %, Capric (C10:0) 6.7%, and
Lauric (C12:0) 47.5 %. Recent studies and testimonies have provided evidence to the vast
health benefits in regards to increased energy and metabolism, weight management, thyroid
function, antimicrobial, antiviral and antifungal, properties of these fatty acids.
Because coconut oil is a natural saturated oil it is highly resistant to peroxidation and
rancidity. The antioxidant role of coconut oil makes it very important in cancer prevention
and treatment.
